Follow the steps 25 - 48 to complete the full cad Camera tutorial, designed to enhance basic skills and enable you to create more complex designs.

  Step 25:
Command: Click on the line, it turns red, RC and choose toggle construction from the menu. When a line is turned into a construction line it is ignored by the Extrude profile command. Move the cursor over the sketch name 'Viewfinder window' in the browser. RC and choose select lines from the menu.

  Step 26:
Command: All of the lines turn red to indicate that they are selected. Move the cursor onto the screen and right click again. Select shift from point to point from the sub menu. Move the cursor over the middle of the construction line until it snaps to the mid point.

  Step 27:
Hold down the left mouse button and drag the rectangle to the 0,0 position at the intersection of the green axis. Release the left mouse button to reposition the rectangle so it is positioned at the centre of the viewfinder cylinder. Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Go to - Plan The rectangle is shown in its central position.

  Step 28:
Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Zoom - Trimetric Us the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to rotate the solid model into the position shown. Command: From the pull down menu select: Feature - Extrude Profile Set the Distance to 1.5mm and click on the Below workplane button.

  Step 29:
Click on the Subtract material button to produce a rectangular feature that represents the viewfinder window.

  Step 30:
Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select faces Pick the top surface of the rectangle, it will turn red, press the right mouse button and select New Sketch. Change the sketch name to flash.

  Step 31:
Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Go to - Plan From the Design toolbar select: Select rectangle Draw a rectangle in the top left hand corner and set the dimensions to 25mm x 10mm.

  Step 32:
Command: Position the rectangle 5mm from the top and 5mm from the left hand side. Command: From the pull down menu select: Feature - Extrude Profile Set the Distance to 3mm and click on the Above workplane button. Click o Add material to create a rectangle to represent the flash.

  Step 33:
The solid design shows the result of your modelling. You have created six features using the Extrude feature command. You have used the Extrude feature to create solid features by adding material. You have then modified the design by subtracting material to achieve the lens and viewfinder features.

  Step 34:
Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select faces Pick the top surface of the rectangle, it will turn red, press the right mouse button and select New Sketch. Change the sketch name to flash window.

  Step 35:
Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Go to - Plan From the Design toolbar select: Select rectangle Draw a rectangle inside the flash 23mm x 8mm. Add dimensions to control the position within a 1mm border.

  Step 36:
Command: From the pull down menu select: Feature - Extrude Profile Set the Distance to 2mm and click on the Below workplane button. Click on Subtract material to create a recess to represent the flash lens.

  Step 37:
Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select Edge Hold down the shift key and pick the four vertical edges of the camera rectangle. From the Design toolbar select: Feature - Round Edges Set the Round to Constant radius and set the Radius to 3mm. Select OK to complete the command.

  Step 38:
Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select Edge Pick the top right side horizontal edge of the camera. Right click and choose Add tangent Edges from the sub menu. From the Design toolbar select: Feature - Round Edges

  Step 39:
Set the Round to Constant radius and set the Radius to 3mm. Select OK to complete the command. You have modified the design using the Round edge command to create two more features in your camera design. In the next sequence you will modify the lens, flash and viewfinder by adding further round features.

  Step 40:
Use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to rotate the camera design into the relevant position. Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Zoom in Zoom a window around the viewfinder detail shown in the snapshot.

  Step 41:
Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select Edge Hold down the shift key and pick the four vertical edges of the viewfider rectangle. From the Design toolbar select: Feature - Round Edges

  Step 42:
Set the Round to Constant radius and set the Radius to 1mm. Select OK to complete the command. Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Go to - Previous The snapshot shows the result of adding round edges to the viewfinder window.

  Step 43:
Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Zoom in Zoom a window around the flash detail shown in the snapshot. Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select Edge. Hold down the shift key and pick the four outer vertical edges of the flash rectangle.

  Step 44:
From the Design toolbar select: Feature - Round Edges Set the Round to Constant radius and set the Radius to 1mm. Select OK to complete the command. Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select Edge.

  Step 45:
Hold down the shift key and pick the four inner vertical edges of the flash rectangle. From the Design toolbar select: Feature - Round Edges Set the Round to Constant radius and set the Radius to 0.5mm. Select OK to complete the command.

  Step 46:
Command: From the pull down menu select: View - Go to - Previous Command: From the Design toolbar select: Select Edge Hold down the shift key and pick edges shown in the snapshot.

  Step 47:
From the Design toolbar select: Feature - Round Edges Set the Round to Constant radius and set the Radius to 1mm. Select OK to complete the command.

  Step 48:
The snapshot shows the completed design. During this tutorial you have practiced the Extrude profile command to turn a 2D drawing into a 3D solid model. The tutorial introduced you to the further solid modelling technique of Round Edges to modify the solid as shown in the snapshot.
